Im setting up a frontpage web with an members only section. Currently Im using the child web/root web password configuration. My question is, just how secure is this configuration. Should I go with a cgi script instead? Any suggestions on which script?
Thanks!

In FP2000, when you publish the web to a server and you set permissions, it is actually doing the cgi bin scripting for you. You are already using it and it is secure. I publish an adult e-zine and have been using the FP2000 security for over a year. No one has hacked in and membership vs hits is proportional. I, personally, think it's pretty good.

Thanks for the response. You have to administer your users/permissions, right? Isnt that a pain? For example, an adult site which may have thousands of members, who want to administer all those permissions?
