Checking Strings using XPath

How can i check if a Password tag has the following:
XML Path:

/XML/User/Password


Contains : Lower Case , Upper Case , Numerals and special characters like @ , ! , # .

It's just my opinion, but I would think your application should check for that type of constraint on the data before inserting into your dataset.

That being said, I don't believe that pure XML offers regular expressions ... you'd have to use something like XQuery to run a regex pattern on the node and find out if it matches or not.
