We have a client who has two receptionists. When they step away from their desks, the press a button on the phone to disable their hunt group membership. The client is looking for a way to quickly identify when the users are in/out of the group. Obviously CCC would do this but that's hardly cost effective for 2 receptionists!

I know they can open the config and look at the hunt group but this is hardly quick and easy. Is there a another way to see the hunt group membership status? The user will be in bust wrap up mode I believe, but I can't see how we can test that condition. The user's also interested in reporting on this and seeing how much time both of them spend enabled/disabled. Again, obviously CCC would be the way to go but would CBC be of any help??

Thanks for any advice or tricks!

You can setup a button on the DS phones to enable/disable users from a group and this will give a visual indication as to there status in the group...

To set this up create a new button and assign it the feature to huntgroup disable and then select the group (depending upon version). Assign it a label if needed and a new button will appear which will allow them to enabled/disable themselves and a small triangle will appear when they are disabled.

If it's not a DS handset tehn let us know what type they have.

Sorry I should have been clearer. The receptionists already have this button set up. They enable/disable themselves as they see fit. Their manager wants to be able to see when they are disabled so he can keep an eye on what they're doing (or not doing!) I can't think of a way for him to easily check their current status from his desk.

This can be done via softconsole. If you click on the user in question it will show you all kinds of info pertaining to that user, including hunt group status.

Thanks for the info. I think they currently have a spare SC license so that could be an option. It's a shame PM or PM Pro doesn't have that feature.

Can also do it through Delta server, which is just a web page. This shows every user on the system though, not just the two receptionists.

Delta server's not a bad idea. I've got it set up just to output the SMDR to a CSV file. He'll probably be happy with that.

If syste, status has this info that'd be good as well, although I thought I checked...
