Checkbox Help

Can someone help me - I have a form that is based on a table with the following field names and types:
1. QBVNum (Auto Number)
2. ActNum (Number)
3. EmpNum (Number)
4. Date (Date)
5. Acknowledgement (Yes/No)
6. Comments (Memo)

On the form the Acknowledgement field is a checkbox and the EmpNum field is a data entry field.
The form opens in Data Entry Mode.

I need the checkbox field (Acknowledgement) to show as True or checked.... when the technican enters their EmpNum.

Is there a way to make this automatically show as "checked" as soon as the EmpNum field is updated.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the AfterUpdate event procedure of the EmpNum control:
Me![Acknowledgement] = (Trim(Me![EmpNum] & "") <> "")
