Can we know printer status is on or off before we printing in fpw26, i am using this command but don't work:

PRINTSTATUS() or SYS(13)

it's return true value even my printer is off, there's anybody know to solve this problem.
thanks

Normally Windows is in charge of spooling and printing, so checking on the current status of the printer in Windows is a meaningless exercise (especially a network printer where another OS is in charge).

You've got to get out of the DOS mentality where you have to keep track of everything - let Windows worry about that. If the printer is really off, it'll notify the user or just keep the job in the print queue. (This of course assumes that the printer driver is current, and that all the printer hardware is good - printer port on computer, cable and the port on the printer.)
