I have been given a database containing mostly check boxes. My task is to produce a variety of reports using different configurations of the check boxes. The requester has asked that I distinguish the check boxes with different colors, but I'm finding that even though the border color property appears in the design view, it resists changing -- it just stays black and hairline despite my selection of different colors and border sizes. Is this normal? If so, is there a way to introduce colors? Ideally, I'd like to to color the actual check rather than just the border, but I note that the design view offers no fore color property for check boxes. I'm working with ACCESS 2000.

Thanks.

you cannot change the color of a check box.
you could put boxes behind each check box, and make them diff colors. they still will not color the inside of the check box, but make them a little larger than the check box so you can see the colors.

Thank you, GingerR. I'll use your suggestion -- I'm grateful.
