I created a report in Access 2003 with a a data table at the top of the page and a chart of that data in the lower half. The report works as designed in Access 2003. I installed Office 2007 on a second workstation and am trying to print the report in Access 2007. The charts will not print. The rest of the page prints and I get a blank box in the chart location. I would appreciate any help I can get because we will need to support our users as they transition to 2007.

Have you tried creating a blank report in 2007, then copy & paste everything from the old report into it? Sounds nuts, but sometimes it works. Also if you are missing a query or table that the chart depends on in the new database, you could get a blank chart; maybe try executing the query or opening the table that supports the chart manually to make sure everything you are expecting still exists in the new .mdb?

Thank you for your response. However, none of the suggestions solved the problem. It is behaving as if the actual chart is not part of the report. The border is there, but there is simply no chart. It shows up in print preview, but not when I print. The database is correct. And the report prints just fine from Access 2003.

Just as a lark. Have you tried reproducing the report from scratch with 2007? This would tell you if 2007 has a problem or the copy past from a previous version is the problem. Just a thought. I will watch for responses to this issue.

I had the same thought. I have tried to create the chart from scratch in the report. I have used the insert chart command and it appears to work, although editing the chart is a bit of a problem. The chart still will not print.

Wellllll, unless some else can shed some light on this, it sounds like a bug in 2007. Have you tried going directly to Microsoft? If you have, what did they say? I use a lot of Microsoft software but I really do not like how difficult it is to get them to solve questions. I will continue to monitor your thread incase your problem gets resolved.

Good luck,
