I have a chart that was created using Access 2003 over a year ago and printing fine. Now I no longer have 2003 as I have been upgraded to 2007. When I open the chart in Access 2007, the right side of the report "chart area", does not display. There are 21 plot points, it goes up to plot point 20, but only the 2 is displayed, the lines and additional points don't show up.

Should look like

In layout view it still shows truncated, in design view, the entire chart is visible.

I went into layout view and played around with some of the properties and as a temporary fix, changed the properties of the Chart Object from:
Size mode: Stretch to Zoom
Width: 10.4792" to 9.8542"

9.8542" seemed to be the max width before truncating happened.

Note: Overall width of Report is 10.5"
How can I show the entire chart without having to shrink it. Or do I have to have the chart be smaller than the overall page size of the report in order for all the plot points to display in 2007 version?

Thanks for responding. I understand that an object shouldn't go beyond the printable area, the chart before resizing was at 10.47, which is less than 10.5". I have text boxes in the header and footer of the report and they are flush with the right side of the report ending at 10.5" and these objects do show up completely (they are not truncated), so why would the chart, which even before the adjustment had a width just under 10.5, not show up? The hairline border around the chart also is not truncated, it shows a complete rectangle around the chart object.

The part that gets truncated is the interior of chart object, including lines (the chart is a line chart) and text for plot points across the bottom x-axis. Like I mentioned, the non chart portion of the report including header and footer as well as the border around the chart are not truncating. Design view shows entire chart while layout view, preview and printing a hard copy and pdf truncate. Chart Font is TT Arial Bold 8 Auto Scale is ticked. Fonts for the text boxes on the report (not chart object) are not truncating include Times New Roman 14, Times New Roman 12 and Arial 8.

I got a similar problem after increasing the width of a report and moving the logo and page numbering further right.
- Report Header logo: far right truncated.
- Detail line : fine.
- Page numbering : far right truncated.

Fix:
Design view: Page Setup -> TAB Columns -> Column size Width.
Column size Width had not changed. It had the value of the original width of the report.
I changed it to the width of the report.
