I have a report with several stacked bar charts and need to keep the colors on the legend consistent throughout. The charts are broken out by region and the amount of data fluctuates from region to region. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm going to reply just to bump this to the top as I want to do this aswell.
My charts however are all seperate from different subreports so I don't think there is much chance of having the same colours attributed to the same values in mine without setting them by hand.
It's not a problem. Julierad, all you have to do is right click on the chart and select "Chart Expert", "Options", "Chart Color" and then click "Format". You can then assign colors to each piece of data which will remain static regardless of change. waldopepper, if you do that to all of your subreports to0, you can have uniform results for all of your graphs. I hope that helped guys. Good Luck.
I have tried doing them as subreports and by putting it in a group on the main report. The problem with making the colors static is that the data fluctuates so every time the users run it. I tried, it doesn't work in this case. Thanks, anyway!
Hi Julierad,
Follow yu119959's instructions and when in the Chart color format expert, click on NEW and the item editor is enabled and you will be able to decide which color is associated with which region based upon your selections here. Hope this helps.
