Character Spacing in a ListBox

I am using a listbox created from an array. The array dimensioned as [x,8]. The listbox will display the fields in a columnar format where each field right or left aligns as necessary. I attempt to maintain consistent positioning between the fields using the space() feature but I still cannot get the columns to line up correctly. It appears that the character width is not consistent. For example, 1, 2, and 5 are different widths.

I would love to use tabs but that feature does not work in a listbox.

HELP!!!!

Thanks.

That was the ticket. I just wish I asked 10 hours of work ago!

Thanks, but I still run into the problem of the report displaying the data differently than the memo field.

Any thoughts?

"the problem of the report displaying the data differently"

On-screen display fonts such as used in Screens displaying List Boxes, etc. are different than fonts printed onto paper and are defined separately.

Depending on how you have created your report, you need to make similar font changes to the Report Font for your memo field data.

Good Luck,

In FoxPro, I found it useful to stick to:

FixedSys or CourierNew.

FixedSys is the default in FPD(os) and

CourierNew is non-proportional, true type and has the same width irrespective of the attribute (eg. Bold, Italic ..).
