I have a user that is trying to slow down the character repeat rate and after he logs off or reboots it reverts back to fast. Does not happen on my techs XP machine.

google search was a bust.

Anyone ever have that problem?

On the user's machine try:
Start, Run, regedit

Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

and set the value to 0. This has the effect of "disabling" the policy that doesn't allow user settings to be saved.

And report back.

Thanks, I will let you know.

That did not work....

The key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

does not point to an actual reg entry just the key.

My apologies.

Be sure to reboot. The report back. There are several other ways to fix this, including TweakUI from Microsoft, under the Mouse section:
But if there is a Domain policy preventing User related context settings, there is nothing you can do other than beg the Domain Admin folks.
