Hi.. I have a problem with the following characters:
ÉTÉ CÉDÉÉ À

In IE, the html source is correct, however it's displayed incorrectly by the browser if we view the page online.
In Netscape 4, the the html source is wrong, the above characters are changed to:
ÉTÉ CÉDÉÉ À

Anybody has any idea? Thanks.

The following is the html code :
<html lang=&quot;en-ZZ&quot;>
<head>
<title>Order</title>
<meta http-equiv=&quot;Content-Type&quot; content=&quot;text/html; charset=iso-8859-1&quot; />
<meta name=&quot;CHARSET&quot; content=&quot;iso88591&quot; />
...
<tr><td>ÉTÉ CÉDÉÉ À</td></tr>
...

Have you tried it using character entities instead?:
[tt]
&amp;Eacute;T&amp;Eacute; C&amp;Eacute;D&amp;Eacute;&amp;Eacute; &amp;Agrave;
[/tt]

The real world's OK for a visit, but you wouldn't want to LIVE there!

Also, have you considered declaring UTF-8 instead of iso-8859-1?

<meta http-equiv=&quot;Content-Type&quot; content=&quot;text/html; charset=UTF-8&quot; />

Browsers will not display some characters unless you do this.
