I've got some books I'm working on. Obviously, the book is made up of many chapter files, saved seperately. I like to print the thumbnails before I get it off to my final print at the printer.
Here's the problem:
When I print the thumbnials spread, there is not a constant flow. the print shows the last page of one chapter file, and the first page of the next chapter file on seperate pages. i want to see them on the same spread.
does this make sense?

how do i view my thumbnails so the chapter files continue through the spread without giving me individual pages??

thanks

Can you export the book to PDF

Then using Acrobat

File>Print>

Properties (to the right of the printer drop down list)

Then choose Finishing (if you can)

Then select the amount of pages per sheet you want.

yeah, there's a post script way around it like that...but i want a quicker, more effecive way of having indesign do it for me..
it seems like a flaw.
the chapters should be able to line up continuously.

Sorry, but there's not, and that's the only way I can think of for now. I will try a few things later today, but that might get you out of a hole for now.

we're looking into finding some imposition software. we run a Fiery serever that lets us use a program called EFI Impose. however, that's a PC program, and we're running Macs.
maybe you know of a different program that serves the same purpose...we don't want to take the time to export to pdf. we would like to be able to imposition the file without effecting the file type.
thoughts?
