i have a Dn 2479 which is associated with a 2008 phone set.

I have been reqested to change this to a 3904.

the TN 79 is 4 0 5 10

When I try cpy 1 I get the 'Teminal already exists'

Help.

Just to expand a little on what John was explaining.

You can't CPY from one phone type to another, you have to rebuild the TN. First, print the programming for the original phone:
LD 20
REQ: prt
TYPE: 2008
TN 4 0 5 10
CUST 0
and press <enter> until the phone's programming prints.

Then OUT (remove) that TN
LD 20
REQ: out
TYPE: 2008
TN 4 0 5 10

Once that's done, you can copy an existing 3904 or build one from scratch

REQ: cpy 1
TYPE: 3904
TN x x x x TN of existing 3904
TOTN 4 0 5 10

Then you need to change the particulars for the new 3904 such as CLS, RNPG, FDN, HUNT, NCOS, KEYS, etc. - look at the printout you made in the first step above.
