Good evening,

This is my first time posting on this forum. I mainly take care of adds/move/changes and more in depth programming is usually given to our company's outside vendor. I really would like to learn more of the systems and I figured this a good way to start. My question is simple I need to change an existing acdn VM. The acdn is 3270.

ACDN 3270

My understanding is that since NCFW is assigned to 2000, that is the number that is assigned in Meridian Mail. However, when I look up 2000, that number is not programmed in MM. Looking further to into this, 2000 is also programmed as a acdn w/ NCFW 8555 our company's VM number.

Our client simply wants to change the message on that number.

2000 should be the pilot number of mail, 3270 might be a mail box or a menu or announcement service. that change is usually done through prompt maint. in the mail, log in, opt 3, 4, 1.. arrow down to 3270. if it's a voice application then it is in that table.. and the type is defined in that screen. you'll also see a dn for prompt maint in that screen

2000 is not the voice mail pilot but just another number going to mail.. what is your switch type... btw you don't need to change switch software to change a recorded msg

Mr. Poole, this is what I see. Do I have to change the service to Prompt Maintenance before I can proceed to change the VM message?

Thanks

so 3270 goes to a time of day controller, if you highlight that line with the space bar you will see at least one application id, usually two and as many as three. those apps will be menu services or announcements. depending on there usage, the way to change the recordings vary. you may want to glance at option 1 voice service dn's, you'll need the prompt maint numbers before you finish
