Changing Values

Hi

I have a table of thousands of companies each identified by a type value E= Estate Agent. Anyway I want to change the text from a single letter to a full name is there a simple routine or scripting that I can do this by looping through all the entries?

Any help would be great

Check the "substitute" function

Can do a find for every record with E in that field
Then change the value in one of those found records
with cursor in that field, Select Records>Replace
