Changing the size of the table cell in every other column?

I am working on a number of tables that need to be changed. Is there a way to select multiple cells in different columns and change the size? I need to change the size of every other column to the same size and have been selecting each column and punching in the number. It is taking forever. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Nope, tried that.

...yes, sorry, ypu can tell i'm not a table user very often...

...not being in front of indesign the first thought would be a shift select, such a common computer function is missing for table use...

...tad annoying!
