Hello to all:

If I'm remembering correctly, there is an option during setup where upon you can select which language you'd like your OS to display. I know of someone who is bi-lingual and would like to change their Windows XP Home Ed. from English to Spanish. Is there a way that this can be done after the OS/drivers/etc. has been loaded?

Thanks in advance!

Most language packs as per thread779-593671 are not available for XP Home.

To swap the laguages you will have to install PRO or a Spanish Home edition.

That said (as I'm not on a Home machine) see if there are any options available to them in the Regional and Language Options, to try this, click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Regional and Language Options, and see if Home has anything there.

Unfortunately linney is right - I had the same situation in reverse wanting to change a spanish xp into english - xp home will not do it. They wound up installing the English instead.

Does Windows XP Pro have both Spanish and English on a regular installation? Can a machine use both? For instance, if a company has both Spanish and English employees, can the same computer use a different language per login settings?

No.

You would need the MUI package as linney describes above, and have two installations of XP.
