Changing the frequency that Windows 7 will save ''previous versions''

The title of the article is "Change How Often System Restore Creates Restore Points in Windows 7 or Vista", so I assume that it works OK on Windows 7?

Most (but not all) of the articles written about Vista apply equally to Windows 7.

I also note that the author recommends leaving it at the default settings.

Because I dual boot I prefer to turn off System Restore (due to a bug with XP's System Restore corrupting System Restore points on Vista or Windows 7) and just rely on regular Image backups.

Windows 7's help doc (titled "Previous versions of files: frequently asked questions") state:
Previous versions are automatically saved as part of a restore point. If system protection is turned on, Windows automatically creates previous versions of files and folders that have been modified since the last restore point was made. Typically, restore points are made once a day.
So I was wondering if it was possible to change it from once a day to once an hour...
