How do you change the block size in Arcserve 6.1 for Netware? We have one server that is backing up with 512 k blocks. Our other Novell server is using 16384k blocks. Both are using a DLT drive. It's backing up Novell 4.11 servers.

I thought you could configure this on the ARCServe Scheduler screen at the server console. Think it's one of the options under Configure ARCServe Server on the Available Options screen....?

Look for the TAPESVR.INI file for version 6.6 and probably for 6.1 the block size may be changed there.

edit the file:
\\server\vol1\arcserve.6\nlm\tapesvr.cfg

Section [config] (if not found, create)
blocksize=x

x can be 1 - 5 5=16k blocks
