I was intrigued by the reply to "eili" about this. Dave suggested using this code;

On (release)
SetVariable: /:text=&quot;<font size=&quot;5&quot; color=&quot;FFFFFF&quot;><i>davdesign</i></font>&quot;
End On

I haven't gotten this to work so I'm going to need some help. I'm not a frequent user of flash or javascript, perhaps an example I can download if time permits.

I have 3 type areas that each have 12 different lines of text that need to change depending on one of 36 buttons that may be pressed. e.g.
<font size=&quot;3&quot; color=&quot;5A6977&quot;>Quarry Blue</font>
<font size=&quot;3&quot; color=&quot;482F17&quot;>Classic Bronze</font> etc...

Or
would you suggest just creating 12 movies and calling them depending on the button. That sounds like it'd be a larger file.

Thanks Gary

hi gary

I'll get to work on an example straight away unless someone else jumps in before me. It really couldn't be easier to do, honestly ;-) . Of course, you won't get the 36 buttons from me though ;-) you'll have to do some yourself.

note: cut and paste the above link into your address bar and it WILL work, it's just that TGML doesn't recognise it as a web address because of the &quot;15&quot; that's in there.

Thanks dave,
I haven't had time to work on this yet but I'll let you know. I hope Macromedia (or somebody) pays you guys well.
