I created a 3d effect button. Then I put the text onto this button. How can I change the color of the text?

thank you

Depends....

If you saved the button as a PSP file and preserved all the layers, delete the text layer and re-create it with the new color.

Or, hide all the other layers and do a "color replace" on the text. This can be a bit tricky and may not produce the results you want.

If all you have is a single layer image (jpg or gif) then I'm pretty sure that your only option is the "color relace" function.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

thanks for answering !

this is what I want to do. How do yo re-create it with the new color?

This is what i did:-
1. I clicked on the Text Tool
2. I highlight the image.
3. Text Entry shows up.
4. I typed in the Text,i.e "Login"
5. I hit apply.
6. How can I change the color here.
7. I right click the text layer but the "Properties" option
is disabled.

thank you

thank you for the help. Your answers somewhat gave me some clues.

I used PSP 8. I still haven't figured out the direct way
to change the color of the text.

Q:
When the text entry appears, I right click the text entry box and I see two options; Palletes and
Toolbars. I assumed I have to select palletes. What item do I pick from there to select the color? Among them are brush variance, histogram etc.

thx

Set the background color in the color palette to the color you want to use.
