How can I change the my TCP address without typing it in the network properties, may I change it depending on the user name or is there any utility that allows changing it at boot time by means of a configuration file or anything like this?

there is software for laptop that can do by samnytec So long and thanks for all the fish.

I need to have different TCP address for a PC depending on the user that is logging in.

Interesting question. Sadly I don't know the answer. I dont think it can be done unless somebody has an interesting work around that I haven't thought of.

I'd like to see it if they did.

Try multi-network manager fromm Globesoft. Handy utility for changing addresses especially those that roam around the network when you dont have DHCP...
Its available for a free trial from

good luck.
Phil.
If everything is coming your way then you're in the wrong lane.

Thanks to everyone who answered, I've found a way to change the TCP address working on the register file but I have to restart the PC to apply the modified value. Does anybody knows what I have to do to apply it without restarting the PC just like pushing the Apply button in the network configuration program of NT?
