How to change the system clock in the IPO Unit without special phones? The Time Server is not working well.

It can be done to a GMT time server on the internet as well.

129.6.15.28 is one I know works.

Remember to set your time offset as this send time in GMT.

I tried the 129.6.15.28 and set my offset to -4 (EST). It works. My only concern with this approach is the Day Light Savings Time. Since this time server always responds in UTC, I would need to make manual offsets on every DST change. Is there any way to get around this.

I tried the 129.6.15.28 but it didnt work, i tried inging it from cmd prompt but getting no response

I too had some difficulties with getting the Time Server to work properly. After reading the PSN linked above, I found that the Windows firewall (enabled through Group Policy) was blocking port 37 UDP. This allowed the RFC 868 Time Server protocol to be passed through to the IP Office.

I suggest getting the time server working as opposed to creating a workaround that you'll have to monitor and adjust as time goes on.

It would be better if you could get your time server (Manager/VM PC) working.

I only use this time server for IPO's not connected to the local LAN.

Our IPO gets it time from our VM Pro PC (Win XP Pro) without any problems.

try putting 0.0.0.0 in the time server IP addy in the IPO.

From the avaya site:

"otherwise the IP Office Manager craft interface must be used to set the system time and date."

Who can tell me how?

try putting 0.0.0.0 in the time server IP addy in the IPO.

do not leave manager running ,and reboot.

I have an IP office 406v2 3.1(65).
Its not connected to the LAN.
Is it possible to change the time on Remote?
I saw on de avaya site:

"otherwise the IP Office Manager craft interface must be used to set the system time and date."

Can someone help me?

You have to create an IP Route to a Service that connects to the internet. Then put in a time server address on the internet (see above).

Set your time offset as needed and reboot.

Done this for a 5 site customer where none are connected to the LAN. I have to do it every 6 months from the office.

Remember to take the IP Route and Service out when its done otherwise it will keep dialling the Internet and updating it's time!!!!

make sure that you have the clock on your manager computer set to military time. the new IPO software will not recognize PM times now. this is done through control panel > regional options....
