Okay, coreldraw 11 is now loaded! I need to know if there is a way to change the text tool bar from points sizes to inch sizes? We work alot with large layouts and I'm used to using Inches instead of point sizes - PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS A WAY!

I am using Draw 10. But this should be the same.

First: Make sure you are using Artistic text. (rather than paragraph.

Second: Make sure you have the TRANSFORM tool bar showing in the tool bar area. (you can do that by Right clicking in the tool bar area and Checking TRANSFORM in the menu tha comes down)

Third: While you have the Word or text selected you can click and drag to the size you want by watching the Transform box showing you the size in inches interactively.

Or you can even have the text selected, and KEY in theactual dimensions that you wish the text to be. (you can choose to keep it locked proportionally (the LOCK should be clicked down) or key in your own dimensions with the LOCK unlocked.

I like having the Transform tool showing at all times. But I don't think it is showing by default. Because it comes up automatically when you are working with rectangles and elipses. So when you are working with those you'll end up having 2 transform tool bars showing. But when you are working with alot of text (like I do) it's nice to have there.

Hopefully this helps...

I'm working in 10 but maybe the same, with nothing selected change drawing units on the top bar. If you are using Draw for signs etc be aware that for example a 2" cap may not be a 2" cap because the sizing is based on decenders and accenders of letters. To size for caps I suggest you choose your font and put a H on screen, size as required and then type in the text you want that way your cap height is the cap height you require.

Thanks Guys,
I appreciate the help - So far, I'm really impressed with CorelDraw!
