Changing Server ip address

Hi

I am running a netware 6.0 server sp4 running Ifolder and NEtstorage.

My Problem is I ran out of IP Addresses my range was 192.168.x.x and now i have changed to 172.16.0.1 to 172.16.2.254 with subnet mask of 255.255.0.0.

Dhcp working fine and clients able to get to internet my problem is my portal is compltely knackered now

I can use web access server,ne storage ifolder and all my web related part of the portal.

I can log on remote manager but through the old server ip address .

Can anyone help me sort this mess out

There are numerous files you have to modify to allow the other services running to listen on the correct IP Address. They don't automatically change when you change the Server IP address.

Thanks very much for that i Think That will help loads.

But I think I have messed it up by unistalling the portal services is it easy to reinstall the portal services

Ok I have sorted out my portal but now need to change my Print brokers ip address from 192 range to the 172 range .

Can any one help.

it's the printer agents addresses you will need to cahnge
you can do this from the server console
go into each priner and change it - obviously you will need to redo the jetd boxes as well

I've never seen anything on the broker where you can change the IP address.. It just loads on whatever the server is using.

I think you mean the manager. Is that right? Each printer agent has it's IP address. You will need to go into each printer, into configuration utilities, and walk through the process and assign a new ip address. Then shut each printer down and start it back up. You do this on the server, not the workstation.

Ok sorted thanks very much for the help.
and you were right it was the manager and i had to load it with the following command
load ndpsm ipaddress=172.16.x.x then it bound it self to the new address range.

Only problem i got now is when clients log on some time they log on to my bordermanager server first and dont get they home drives from the file and print server.

I have to log out client and log back in for them to log in to network properly.

Can anyone help on this
