Changing R9 from Basic to IP Office Check List

I am changing a site from Basic to full IPO mode. When we sold it to them originally, we included an Essential edition license thinking we were starting IPO Mode from day one. We did at least, make them 3 digit extensions while in basic.

My questions are, when going to IPO mode and adding SCN to another site:

1. Since they are already 3 digit, non conflicting numbers, will their mailboxes stay in place or be wiped out when I switch mode. (embedded).

2. Not sure if they will centralize yet as they don't have VM Pro on the other side either. Does it matter, except for all the features they lose, will they be able to retain local vm like they have now?

3. With combo cards on both sides, Essential in place, I am just adding one SCN with 4 channels and no IP endpoints. Correct?

I have done a few of these, but from scratch, not a midway conversion, so I just want to make sure I am not missing anything on my side of it. The other side will be same release, essential, SCN, Embedded vm for now. They basically just want to intercom and transfer between.

Thanks!

1) I Have never tried (I refuse to install Muppet Mode) so cannot confirm but would hope the mailboxes would remain (IPO users user name not extn. number for VM)

2) Avaya docs state that embedded VM is not supported in SCN, you may experience issues if users try to perform a direct message via Visual voice, forward messages between sites or roam form site to site

3) Networking license should be all that is required.
