CHANGING PRINT SERVERS?

Im going to need to change a print server there are 400 printers on it and 1700 users. What is the easiest way to do this without having to go to each client and having to change the share name.

Can you rename the old print server? If so the following will work:-

Rename the old print server

Create a DNS Alias of the original print server name pointing to your new print server

See the following MS article about a registry change required on the new print server

Away you go.
