Hi, we have a several prefixes for internal use and serveral for client use. Lately clients have been getting our prefixes on their lines. Is there anyway to just change the prefix?

look at your clid table, ld 21 prt clid. you should have an entry for each prefix, and usually one for your main listed number. on any line you'll see the entry key x scr 3333 z with z =to an entry from the clid table. do an echg on any phone that has the wronge clid entry.

Mr. Poole. Thanks for the resoponse. But, I think my coworker and I have already addressed this trouble. BTW, there are two of us using the gbixtelecom handle, if you are confused. Whomever initially programmed the phone probably put in the wrong CLID number when programming the new phone, w/ extension, in LD 11.

An offtopic question here. We do have another trouble that seems to be affecting a client of ours who uses CLID2.

Company A has a the number of 212324xxxx (CLID2). When ever they make an outgoing call, outside of our switch, they are informed that the number is the same, but the name display is different by their clients. Coming up as Company B. My coworker and I are have tried to figure out what is going on but seem to be at a loss.

i would add a entry for each company fot each company, and make sure that the provider has that number for each route. we had one recently that worked great local, but ld was sending no clid, so people with entry 3, some times could not get through to clients that had the no id block on.. same phone never failed local. the user just said it never worked, so it took a while to find out the overflow ld pri was the problem at a co level. when you add a clid the provider has to send it. when pri was new you could send a bogas area code, that died pretty quick, but it was fun to call the boss and tell him you were lost, from about 10 area codes away
