I have installed the groupwise software on computer connected with novell. There are 12 other existing computer with client software and groupwise functioning correctly. The installation of groupwise went fine, but when it is trying to connect to the post office it uses a non-existing post office. How can I change or what to I have to access in order to change the way it connects to the correct post office.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

What do you by "It connects to a non-existant PO"?

Are you set up in Client/Sever mode?

If you want to set the GW client to point to a specific PO then:

a. Right click on the GW Client
b. Select Properties from drop down
c. Type " /@u-?" at the end of the Target line (w/out
quote marks)
d. Apply and close the Properties screen

Now when you open the GW Client it will stop and prompt you for your login ID and a password. But this also allows you to put in a specific PO Address and Port #. Also make sure you have Notify turned off. I also would suggest that you run your PO's in Client/Server mode.

also put a dns entry in for ngwnameserver and then it will auto resolve

Thanks guys, I was finally able to resolve it. Special thanks to "FarOut".
