We've just taken over a new customer site with an SL1, and I needed to change the logins & passwords. I went to LD 17 typed the "chg" option, it prompted me for the 2nd level PW, after entering, it then prompted me for the login name option. I entered yes and it the said default login names saved. I then tried to re-enter the switch, but I'm getting an OVL428 which is invalid login/password combo. The customer had it set up for no login name needed. Did I miss something or worse, locked myself out of the switch now? any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You may try to type logi and the space bar because when you accepted the login name option and then hit enter it may have accepted the blank, also if you only changed the first level password and input login name yes then you should be able to change the level one password back to login name no. Thanks, but after reading a little further, I found out what I'd done> When you turn on the login name option, and hit enter, the system put the login names at the default logins (it tells you in the manual). After doing what the manual said I was able to get back in and set them up the way I wanted. Thanks for your reply.
