AIXers,

How can i change my password of multiple LPARs given that ssh is already configured between those LPARs not to prompt for password on login?

I have 16 LPARs and it is a headache to change each one's root password at a time!

Thanks.

Khalid

Good command p5wizard! (and it is the best solution as it doesn't require any extra software to be installed) but the problem is when i login using the changed password it ask me to enter a new password!?! so it is not working as i expect!!!!

Could you please let me know if there is a workaround on this?

Thanks.

Khalid

So, change the password with chpasswd command, then (un)set the required password flags with pwdadm command.

Check out the man pages for both commands...

Incidentally the reason I wrote my own version of 'chpasswd' is that I use AIX 5.1 which doesn't have the generic one - which is also why I tend to forget it exists.
