Need some help, one of our users wants her 800# to show up when she dials out. Can someone point me in the right direction if this is possible and if so where do I go to make the change.
Thank you,
Nick

change/display public-unknown-numbering or change public-unknown-numbering 1 depending on software release...

The ext length is the length of your internal extensions
The ext code would be her extension
Trunk group you can leave blank
CPN Prefix would be the 800#
CPN length would be 10

Then on page (2) of her extension change:Per Station CPN - Send Calling Number? y

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
98C

change public-unknown-numbering [x]

x=4 if using 4-digit extensions
x=3 if using 3-digit extensions

ext len = 4 (if using 4-digit extensions)
ext code = her extension
trk grp = trunk group calls are going out over
cpn prefix = 800 number you would like outpulsed
total cpn length = 10

please note, this will not work over POTS lines, only digital PRI

This is an edit to my previous post:

I meant to say change isdn public-unknown-numbering or change public-unknown-numbering...

Thanks,

Ok that was a big help, but its working internally but not externally. do you know what could be causing this??

Thanks again!!

when we dial internal extension to extension i see the 800 number, but when I dial outside over pstn to a cell I still get the same ext 3#

please show me your public-unknown-numbering table

also, provide me with the extension you're calling from. follow 98converter's instructions and leave the trk grp column blank for this entry.

I put a bridged appearance of 5204 on my phone 2566 and was testing it that way when i dial out from 5204 to a external # is still get 201-777-5204.

Thnaks again this is driving me nuts

ok well then try typing in the trunk group in the column for that entry...

yes I tried that and it still doesn't work, same thing..

i don't see the entry that references ext 5204 spitting out 201-777-5204.

please use the following command:

ch pub 4 ext 5
(change public-unknown-numbering 4 ext-digits 5)

also, do a list trace on that call and find out which trunk group you are going out over from extension 5204...

we'll probably need to specifiy the trunk group and the extension number
