You mean on the sim card itself? You did not say what model or version of software you have, but if you have version 4.x on the handheld you should be able to go to the sim card thru Options and click on the number. One of the options should be to Edit Sim Phone Number.

If you have nextel do a master radio reset. Options->security-> click and select master radio reset.
