We're changing ISPs and need to change the IP address that our network goes to for internet access.

It has a serial connection to our IAD and ethernet to our firewall.

From what I can tell I need to reconfigure both of these interfaces.

Is there a resource that explains how to do this or could one of you walk me through the process?

Thanks in advance
Gary C.

the IAD is what kind of router? What kind of firewall is it?

You may only need to change the config on one device. It all depends on where the NATing is taking place. It should be a simple change in ip address, default gateway, and some NAT rules.

The IAD is a Cisco2400. The firewall is a Cisco Pix 506E.

I used the show running-config and show interfaces commands and it looks like the router is pointing the traffic to our current ISP.

Thanx.
GC
