We are implementing a new network and have to change all of the IP addressing on the 8700 (servers, C-Lan, MedPros, IPSI's, VALS, Map-D)and related systems (CMS, Intuity, T-Server). Can anyone give me information regarding the sequence in which this should be done and also if all of the 8700 changes can be made through the web interface? Can we do this without a craft-level login? Risks and exposure?

Hi Jamlaur,
The only reason that your login level would not allow this would be due to the permissions allowed on your current login! Now changing the IP adresses, I would imagine that your business will allow a window of time for this work to be carried out? If so I can see no real reason why you need a squence! However I would start with busines critical equipment i.e. 87*0, Ipsi, medpro, clan... checking at this point that the system 100% okay and stable, now proceed with the other equipment changes! Ping testing as you go!

Ensure you take a copy of all old IP's and when changing the 8700's ping from another device to ensure that the config has been changed correctly.

Good luck.
