We originally had the option 11 PBX whith 2 POTS lines going tinto a ANLG M/WLC card. These lines were ground start.

After chaninging ofer to VOIP that provided loop start lines we do not know haow to reconfigure the switch.

I understand the LD commands but do not know which one to start and wherer to go to change the line types.

Any hints

Thanks

You change the signalling in LD14 on each trunk from GRD to LOP. I'm not sure how your SUPN prompts should be set for VoIP. Anyone else?

How do you determin the TN?

My trunk card is in slot 2
My ANLG M/WLC cards are in slots 5 and 8 ( I am only using slot 5 to conneect to lines)

A couple of ways:
LD 21
LTM
CUST
ROUT (Must know the route number of the trunks your referencing)

or

LD 20
PRT
TNB
TN 2 (Will print all trunk TN's in Slot 2)

Out of all of the TYPES available why choose COT thius is an option 11C so would it not be COT M?

Thank you

here is what I have and still can not receive calls.

what color did you punch that down on..

white blue/port 0
white green/port 1
white slate/port 2
red orange/port 3
red brown/ port 4

and if it's a standard loop start line, then in the route, (after you out the trunk) make auto =to yes then put the trunk back in and you'll see atdn, that needs to match the number you want the cot to ring, and cot m is not a prompt i have ever used. you should be able to get on that line and call it from another phone and answer the call. you also should be able to call out from that line.. if you are trying to connect 1 line to new analog card, then i would use port 0, white blue, and program against 2 0..

One line is going to the green / green - white of the trunk punchdown. The other kine is going to the blue-black / back of the trunk punchdown.

So are you saying for me to take out the trunk card and then setup in some program code "then in the route" (what ever that may be) to auto = yes then add back in the trunk card. I will then see the prompt ATDN at which point I enter in the phone number that is to be ringing

I know that when we had it setup with ground POTS the system worked. All we have done is take the pots lines from the punchdown block and using the two wires converted it so it would plug into the VOIP router.

Sorry but I am getting totally lost here.

white green is port 1 blue black is port 5.. i didn't know that you had working numbers, go to ld 21 ltm return all prompts excep cust = 0.. post that print out...i'll watch for the post

We had many POTS lines at one time as well as having the PBX setup to receive for two separate companies. We removed one company and reduced the second company’s to two lines. As the PBX was setup to call out at the last line first rolling up to the main line people calling in, we kept the lines going to the gray / white-gray (main incoming line) and black / blue/black (first outgoing line)

NOTE: We have left the green / white-green for future growth.

I may mention that the phones being used are Meridian M2600 Series phones

station type doesn't matter for trunks, check the card for switch settings, a few years ago, they did have ground/loop start settings.. i haven't used an analog trunk in 10 years.. here with that many trunks,1 pri is cheaper then 12 or 14 analog trunks.. in your case you just need to change the start type on the trunk. soft and hardware

ok so lets recap
I have the system setup to use ports 2-1 and 2-5 using incoming loop lines from my VOIP connection.

My trunk card is set for CO and lines are set to grd in LD14.

1) do you seggest that both incoming lines use the local (2-1 and 2-3)?

2) do you segguest any change in ROUT?

Goal here is to have an incoming line with roll over both going to auto attendent and then through 4 digit dialing routing to the person they want. I already have the VOIP lines doing roll over.

NOTE: my primary kine is currently at 2-1

Current operation;
a) can dial uot but no one can call in.
b) only 2-1 dials out

if i still follow, you had 2 tdm ground start trunks, now you want to replace them with loop start voip... i would use the same to ports that i am replacing, (matters not).. i would build a new rdb, IF i needed a new type of trunk or supervision.. i would build a route that has auto=to yes and then use the menu voice service dn as the atdn on the trunk.. that said, i don't know what your switch is built like,i did read that you has changed it for 2 to 1 cust, i OUT everything in any switch that is not used, stations routes rlb's etc, so my software stays clean.. you only have a dozen or so prompts to worry about in ld 16 and 14, auto works great for loop start trunks. i have a couple in my smaller switch that are just analog dial tone from the 81, they work just like loop start pots (or voip) lines
