Hi Folks

I would like to move my Exchange 5.5 mail server from one domain to a new one. (Change of company structure).

However I am wondering if it is possible to receive mail (at least in the short term) under both domain names.

Reason:- some accounts will still have mail sent to them under their old domain account untill the other party becomes aware of the change.

Example:- can mail to username@olddomain.com be received in the mailbox of username@newdomain.com as well as mail directly to username@newdomain.com

I have details of the maintainer to the MX records for both domains.

What do I need to do to allow this to happen at my end.

Thanks for the time in reading this. BF

Here's one idea, but I'm sure there are other ways.

Create custom recipients on the old domain using the new addresses and then add them as alternate recipients on the old mailboxes.
