I'm looking for a way to change the day/night setting remotely? Here's the scenario:

During the day we route a lot of our calls (using IDC) to an ACD for our receptionists to answer for our clients. When the last receptionist leaves for the day they hit the day/night button on our one M2250 Attendant Console which switches call routing to a different IDC table. We would like to switch our staffing around a bit which would have the last operator out actually in a different physical location than the M2250 which makes it very difficult to push the button...

So the question is... is there a way to push the button remotely or to achive the same affect?

Thanks!

you can not do a night switch remotly..BUT

maybe you can use ncfw on the acd group to reroute the call. that prompt does not look at the day/night it puts the acd group into night when the last agent logs out..

another option would be to send the number out of the idc to a tod in mail.. 9 to 5 goes to the acd group the rest goes to ?

Thanks John. I rather thought it'd be a long shot.

Steve - Take a look at Attendant Overflow Position in the Features guide.
It will probably do what you want.
