Changing DataEntry property for subform

Hi.
I have an unbound combo box on a subform, that suppose to show a whole record information based on a selected value.
hope u understand what I means
specific of my task makes me change dataentry property of that subform (using option buttons).
i alreasy know that this unbound combo box trick works only if dataentry property = false.
everything works in standalone form,and stops working in a subform (as always)
is there a hope? can i make the combo box thing work in a subform that has to have it's dataentry property controled using code?

is it possible to change dataentry property for a subform?
it doesnt seem to be working.
