As to the original post, Malcolm's answer is incorrect. Database/Set Location will not work UNLESS the database name does not change. Set Location is used if the database name is the same, but is at a different network address or path. I believe that a changed database name requires you to remove and add the database on the report -- a LOT of work.
For Doga's question, click on Database, Convert Database Driver and select the SQL7 driver and you should be fine. I have done tons of this as Macola is slowly migrating from a Btrieve platform to MS SQL. Software Support for Sage Mas90, Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
thanks for your help,
by this time I did manage to do that.
another question is, can I make grids in crystal reports?
the sort of grids that are like vb or delphi grids? and is there an easy way of using crystal reports in delphi?
thanks again
You can indeed change solve the problem just as Malcolm stated. Click on Database, Set Location and in the box where the filename and path are, just erase the old filename and put in the new.

To get grids in crystal reports, click on View and Grid In Design or Grid in Preview or both.
I use crystal reports in crystal reports, and no where else. I gather from other programmer's posts that you can actually develop a crystal report from another application such as VB. Why anyone would want to do that, I have no idea. Then again, I am not a programmer. Software Support for Sage Mas90, Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
Thanks for your response but that wasn't what I meant. What I mean is how do you make tables like cross-tab but with values from fields instead of summaries in the table. For example I want to make a table where I will list people as rows and days as columns and in the data cells I will have duties that those people performed for each day. each cell may have more than one record corresponding to it and I want to add each record to that cell one after the other. I hope this might give you an idea of what I'm trying to do.
thanks again for your help
