Changing data from .ttx file

I have a report that I created in Crystal 7 which the client changed the requirements for. The report is called from an ASP page which passes in a ADO recordset generated by a VB component.

The problem is a can't seem to get Crystal to recognize a new ttx file with updated data types. Is there a way to do this without actually recreating the entire report?
