Is there a way to change the data point labels on a chart that is embedded in a report?

0 1 2 3 4 5

This is what the chart looks like. I want to replace the 0,1,2,3,4,5 with words. Is there any way to change these? Thanks.

Cheers.

I've done this in Access97. The chart object is highly editable. Double-click on the chart in design view to bring up the datasheet and chart object windows. Then the axes can be selected with a double-click and the format axis control box can be edited. You can open up the drawing toolbar and add drawing objects too, including text boxes. You can format the data points and change the chart type if necessary. I find it is easiest to practice in Excel, and when a suitable design is found, recreate the chart object in an Access Report subreport. warning!! sometimes can be frustrating if the changes you make do not seem to be saved!!

Thank you for your help. I tried to edit the chart object but I was not able to change the data points to non-numerical values. I also tried to place text fields in between the data points but the chart is dynamic and holds a different amount of data for each report record, the text fields are misaligned in each record. Any other ideas on how to edit the data point labels? Thanks.

Cheers.

You omit to say what non-numerical values you wish to display, and how they relate to the numerical values that have been plotted by the chart object. Without this it is a little difficult to visualise what you are trying to achieve. Please get back to me on this.
