Changing caroot password

Afternoon,

Could anyone just pass on to me if there are any problems changing the password on a W2K server for the CAROOT user? I believe that there is a problem with Backup Exec were backups/services can stop because the change does not reflect on the rest of the settings, but not being used to BS Arc 9 just thought i would check before hand. The guy who set it up didnt put the password anywhere and he aint around any more.
