I think that there is an option that I can get turned up by Avaya that will allow me to have users dial into the system and change their call-forwarding remotely. Does anyone know what I am talking about and what feature it is? I am running a Definity V6.

Telecommuter software. It's a RTU on the money page. Type "ch tele" and if you get to enter a extension you paid for the software.

Hope this helps

Nope does not look like I have that. Thanks anyway.

If you have the custumer access to inads port turned on, you can use that to remotley call forward calls. I would not give that to everyone, but it would be a way for you to do it.

Mike,
How would I set up the INADs port to call forward? How would I dial in and change the forwarding?

I am sorry. I only gave you half of what you need. I use the customer access to the Inads port using ASA to remotely change the COS to allow call forwarding. Then you can dial in through remote access number in your switch to activate and deactivate call forwarding. You set your remote access number with a high enough COR or COS to remote call forward.

You assign a DID number on the Ch Tele Screen. You then assign feature access codes to the features you wish to open up. Examples below
Change Coverage Access Code: XXX
Enhanced EC500 Activation: XXX Deactivation: XXX
Extended Call Fwd Activate Busy D/A XXX All: XXX Deactivation: XXX

Remote Send All Calls Activation: XXX Deactivation: XXX
Station Security Code Change Access Code: XXX
Then assign a security code to the users that will use these codes. Also check COR/COS to ensure that the users CAN use the features.

The Guides have some good info.
Hope this helps
