Has anyone designed a way to change the background based on a value in a mail merge file? I'm attempting to create a single set of name tag labels with have different background colors depending on if the person is identified a "VIP" in the mail merge file. I've done some looking on the web and searched within this forum without any success. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you considered two different sets of tags? Once for VIP, one for non-VIP.

JP,

Yes, creating two sets of tags is where I sit right now. I was hoping to only print one set of tags in alphabetical order to make it easier to find names.

With two searate sets of tags, people will have to check two different sets labels for their name. With over two hundred attendees, having two lists is going to be interesting.

Thanks for the response!

You could try posting this in forum707 and see if anyone has any ideas on using VBA to accomplish what you want.

Hope this helps.
