Its that time again to change the admin password...What things should I look out for when doing this...We are running 2000 AD with Exchange 2003. All the exchange services run under the admin account/password...I think any sheduled tasks we have running also use the admin account/password...

Thanks in advance!

You may want to take this opportunity to get your Exchange (and other) services logging in with a user account other than Administrator. I create different domain users for each product and give them (only) the administrative access they need. If you give these accounts very strong passwords you won't need to change them so often.

Also make sure you change your admin username from the default 'Administrator'.

If I rename the administrator account and password or if I have the services logging in under a new account, do I need to stop/start the exchange services to recognize the new password/account?

Thanks!
