Changing a plus entry to a minus entry 1

I have a payment form in which one of the fields is [amount].

How can I enter a number without preceeding the number with a negative sign every time I record a payment.

I want the number to go into the table as a negative without pressing the negative button every time I make an entry.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

On the AfterUpdate Event for the amount field insert the line:

If amount > 0 then amount = - amount
