I have been workig on MICS and CICS with loops for some time now.

I am no expert, but have managed well using the FAQs here and keyword searchs.

Now I want to try to set up my first PRI on a MICS with 6.0 that has been preconfigured.

What should I need to start out?

When you say preconfigured, you mean that it has the PRI enabler keycode already installed and the T1 card is in and has been programmed in the hardware menu?

If so, you need to know your DID range and how many digits the telco is sending you.

Go to target lines (they begin at line 157, I believe...or is it 143...) and assign the public number to the target line and the prime DN for that target line. With the receptionist phone, on the target line assigned to the main number, assign the number of appearances to the target line to the number of lines she want the ability to answer, otherwise, 1 appearance will get a busy on the second call into the main number.

For the recep. with the main line you will be able to apply multiple appearances of the target line. I guess if you have never done PRI's before you have never seen that option. When you add that target line and hit show you will see appearnces then just change it to the proper amount you want on that set.

As far as setting up the PRI:

* Install the card
* Install the PRI keycode ( no this doesn't come with the card )
* Change the card type to PRI ( you must disable it to chg it )
* Add your new PRI lines into a pool I.E. PRI-A
* Program a route for the PRI
* Program a dest code
* Program all target lines with proper rec'vd digits and prime sets.
* Of course make sure your coding, framing, and protocols match your LEC.

This should get you going on the right track.
