I got a new 24 port analog card to change out with my old 8 port. In the past I tried just installing the new card, but it wouldn't work. I remember the Avaya tech telling me I had to change board or change something to get it to work. Can someone tell me the command? Thanks Travis

Travis you should be able to remove the translation off the old board (no stations assigned to it) and place the new one in its slot. I have done this by "X" porting the numbers that were assigned to those ports. Then adding them back when I put the new board in.

If this does get hosed up (but it shouldn't) you can use the "ch cir" command.

When is the last time you helped someone, just because you were able to?

Keep in mind, the 24 port pack is wired different so you'll need to put in different port numbers than the ones you took out when you changed the ports to X.

just changing out a board without removing the translations will cause a board type conflict on change circuit-pack and list configuration board / all

you will have to have "u" on all the ports when you use change circuit-pack to change the board type. If tti / psa is on and you have "t" or "p" on the ports, you will have to turn tti off.

Also "list marked-ports" to see if you have marked ports, as they will show up as "u" and are considered to be programmed ports. "clear port xxxxxx" will remove a marked-port from the list.

The board cannot be deleted using change circuit-pack if it is plugged in. When you unplug it and all translations are removed, it should go away.

To add to lopes1211 I will include 16 port also in a table below:
